Boysenberry Syrup

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Boysenberries Fresh or Frozen

  • ½-¾ Cup Sugar

  • 1/2 Cup Water

  • 1/2 Tbsp Lemon Juice Optional

Instructions

  1. Add boysenberries, sugar, water, and lemon juice (if using) to a saucepan.

  2. Cook over medium heat until berries soften and release juices (about 5 minutes).

  3. Reduce to a low simmer and simmer for 10 minutes, mashing berries gently as they cook.

  4. Let the mixture cool slightly, then blend until smooth.

  5. Strain through a fine mesh strainer if desired for a smoother texture.

  6. Transfer to an airtight jar and refrigerate after fully cooled.
